Small acts, Big impact

We live on a blue planet, with oceans and seas covering more than 70 percent of the Earth’s surface. Oceans feed us, regulate our climate, and generate most of the oxygen we breathe. Oceans are facing threats as a result of human activity. Every year, an estimated 8 million tons of plastic waste end up in the world’s oceans.

I am an environmentalist and innovator. I am working towards United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 14 and 2.

M Bot (Marine Robot Cleaner) is a prototype robot that can remove floating wastes from water surfaces.

Agribot is a prototype robot that can assist farmers in ploughing the soil, sowing the seeds and covering the seeds with soil.

Importance of taking care of our marine environment

Marine debris remains one of the most widespread pollution problems facing the world’s oceans and waterways today. Huge amounts of litter are being discarded into the waters every day harming the marine life and carrying contaminants that are ingested and transported through the marine food chain resulting in severe health implications for animals and humans alike.
