Earth School

Students connect to nature…. EARTH SCHOOL…. Time for Nature

As you all know, we are in the midst of challenging times. While such uncertainty continues, these circumstances has provided an opportunity for children and youth to explore varied innovative strategies for learning. This led to the launch of “Earth School” on Earth Day on April 22.

A global team of experts and collaborators have worked together with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and TED-Ed to create lessons for students and host “Earth School”. It comprises of 30 adventures/quests/lessons for students everyday between April 22 and concludes on World Environment Day (June 5) based on the theme of “The Nature of……………………………”.

There are a range of activities, videos to watch, articles to read, think, dig deeper and discuss with friends to keep the young people engaged. This single platform is very useful to both educators and learners as they are getting an opportunity to explore and lead a sustainable lifestyle. Kids need to continue learning even in this confined state due to the present crisis. This platform provides very useful materials for students to continue taking care of our planet.

This platform has solved 3 major problems. Firstly, the environmental resources are available under a single platform for learners of all ages. Secondly, as most of the countries are in lockdown situation due to the pandemic, this platform helps students to connect with nature and learn about our ecosystems. Finally, it is of great help to the parents as students all over the world are at home and unable to continue their routine learning. Last but not the least, this platform provides online activities that helps students to connect with nature.

Let us all learn, share and act together to protect and take care of our Mother Earth.

Heal the environment; love the planet (H.E.L.P)

Together we can create a wave of change!
