Come let’s join the global mega-brand Adidas in its war against marine plastic pollution
Adidas had launched the global Run for the Oceans Campaign in 2018. It had united nearly 1 million runners and raised a whopping $1 million for Parley for the Oceans which was invested in the education of future generations on the marine plastic pollution issues. Adidas had also created 5 million pairs of shoes using recycled ocean plastic.
World Oceans Day is celebrated on June 8 every year. This year Adidas will produce 11 million pairs of shoes using upcycled marine plastic waste. It aims to bring together more runners from different parts of the world to run for the oceans and raise $1.5 million. Adidas will contribute $1 to Parley Ocean School programs for every 1 km completed between June 8 – June 16.
